How to Kiss Your Enemy

Image
How to Kiss Your Enemy Written by: Jenny Proctor Oh my goodness this story was adorable! I love the enemies to lover trope and this one had all the makings of it. Mix in a little introspection and growth for the characters and this story brought all the feelings. I knew where Tatum Elliot was coming from and felt a strong connection to her character development throughout the story. This book made me smile from the chemistry between the characters and seeing all the old characters come back. I bet I will find myself re-reading this story soon!

The Bad Boy Theory

Image
The Bad Boy Theory Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Elodia Strain Elodia Strain kept me guessing in this new Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy. With a fun and quirky heroine who meets her match with two very different potential beaus- I became invested in rooting for my favorite. Essie Sanchez is such a unique and lovable character. The way she interacts with those around her and the secret seven just make this story sing. Those secret seven are hilarious and it is fun to see some conflict between those that live in the retirement community. They are a fun way to unite all of the books in this series. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Eloise and the Grump Next Door

Image
Eloise and the Grump Next Door Oakley Island Romcoms Book 1 Written by: Emma St. Clair and Jenny Proctor If you aren't one for age gaps then this book is not for you. If it is something that you don't mind- then the quirky comedy inside will leave you smiling and swooning as these two characters find their way to loving each other. I love the idea of a conniving grandmother leaving a will that pushes some life changes on a character. As Lo comes back to the island she has such great transformation. This story is seamless. Despite being written by two authors- I would not be able to tell who wrote which part unless someone were to sit down and tell me. This was definitely a fun read.

Look Again

Image
Look Again Written by: Becca Wilhite  Look Again was such a sweet romance. With two private school teachers trying to find the balance of starting a new school year and the fledgling feelings that are arising- this book has all the makings of an enemies to lovers romance with funny moments and lots of back and forth. Becca Wilhite made this such an enjoyable read. I couldn't wait to see how their feud settled. This fun romantic comedy had so many great moments.

Cinder-Nanny

Image
Cinder-Nanny Written by: Sariah Wilson  Sariah Wilson has done it again. This clean and sweet romance isn't just fluff- it has some depth to it. With a little bit of spice thrown in, my heart swooned and I wished there were more guys like Griffin in the world. I loved that Diana had more to her character than just falling in love. She was so altruistic and then all the people she interacted with (for the most part) in Aspen were fantastic. Diana had so much introspection and growth while still being a fantastic person from the start. There wasn't any point I wanted to wack someone upside the head. Not to say there wasn't conflict because there was but none of it was angsty. I couldn't wait to figure out what happened from the start. Cinderella has always been one of my fairy-tales and this retelling was spot on! Purchase on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Cinder-Nanny-Novel-Sariah-Wilson-ebook/dp/B09GF8YRJL/ref=sr_1_2?crid=30U2T2U97UQKV&keywords=cinder+nanny&qid=...

A Summer Mismatch

Image
A Summer Mismatch Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Kaylee Baldwin This story was hilarious. I was laughing all throughout which then had me reading different snippets to my husband so he could enjoy them as well. Everything from troublesome texting grandpas to awkward situations caused by elementary school children- this was such a fun story to read start to finish. Kaylee Baldwin has just gone up to the top of my favorite authors in this Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series.

How to Kiss Your Best Friend

Image
How to Kiss Your Best Friend How to Kiss a Hawthorne Brother: Book 1 Written by: Jenny Proctor This sweet romantic comedy was such a fun read! I loved seeing characters from Jenny Proctor's book Love Off-Limits come back into play. This new series will be so fun from this book with Brody and his best friend that has come back to town to his brothers- especially the sullen Perry. Kate has such character growth throughout the whole story. From a wild wandering spirit to realizing that maybe she is missing something. The chemistry is golden and humorous. I can't wait to see what Jenny Proctor comes up with next in the next books in this series. Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B1TPRHMF/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0

Maybe I Will

Image
Maybe I will Written by: Melanie Jacobson This sweet romance was sooo good. I was hooked from the start and I did not want to put it down. The characters have such growth from when we see them in So Not My Thing. This book was on fire with chemistry while staying in the limits of making out. Dylan and Chloe are such a great match and it was so good to see them get their happily ever after. Melanie Jacobson set up their relationship so well from hating each other to falling in love to the fight that we could see coming from a mile away. While I wanted to shake them at points- everything made sense. These aren't dumb characters who make dumb mistakes. They feel like real people who have good reasons for the things they do. From start to finish- A+ story writing.

Flirting With My Billionaire Boss

Image
Flirting with My Billionaire Boss A part of the Fall Into Love Collection Written by: Cindy Ray Hale This sweet romance is part of the Flirting with My Billionaire Boss collection. The heroine gets her second chance for love after a disaster the first time. It was nice that there was not much drama from the previous relationship despite there being the potential for a lot. The romance grew and it was short and sweet.

Sun-Kissed Second Chances

Image
Sun-Kissed Second Chances Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Maria Hoagland This sweet romance with appearances from the Secret Seven was such an entertaining read. With characters with a past, this one picks them up and takes them on an enchanting journey in a beautiful place. The way Maria Hoagland illustrated the town of Diamond Cove made me want to go visit there. The only thing I wished would happen was Harry bringing his wife into the Secret Seven fold. Other than that, their not so inconspicuous shenanigans strike again and make for an entertaining read.

Kissing in the Deep End

Image
Kissing in the Deep End Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Erica Penrod This cute new romance was such a fun read. The meddling secret seven seniors are at it again with their not so inconspicuous ways. They add humor to the whole story while Erica Penrod adds in some reality that could come from being on the world stage as an Olympic diver. The mix of the comedy and the seriousness of Nora's anxiety makes this story work so well. I enjoyed watching the romance happen underneath her own eyes and seeing how her personality take this story to its unique level.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Kissing-Deep-End-Erica-Penrod-ebook/dp/B09QY7J2ZJ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3GB4HR3H2OE5R&keywords=kissing+in+the+deep+end&qid=1650773132&sprefix=kissing+in+the+deep+e%2Caps%2C278&sr=8-1

Landing on Love

Image
Landing on Love Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Holly Stevenson A new Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy just came out and the secret seven matchmakers are at it again! While Walt may have been great at maneuver in the navy- in the matters of love his efforts at subtle maneuvering fail. It is hilarious reading about how these retired citizens finagle their relatives into finding love. Holly Stevenson is an expert at writing light-hearted romantic comedies. These are entertaining and make me smile every time I finish one.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QY5YVW9?ref_=dbs_m_mng_rwt_calw_tkin_1&storeType=ebooks&qid=1648851755&sr=8-1

Not on the Agenda

Image
Not on the Agenda Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Lucy McConnell I just finished this romantic comedy and it was gold! The awkward unbalanced of Elizabeth Mabel Matthews vs the coordinated and surfer personality of Chad Huntington makes for an opposites attract type romance. While their businesses are very different- they are both dedicated owners and will do what they can to have them succeed. I loved this contrast. There was the perfect amount of similarities which made this relationship seem like it has the potential for success while keeping enough different that there is still intrigue.  Lucy McConnell added the secret seven in which ramped up the comedy. The conniving of their schemes and the determination of each of these retirees made me smile the whole way through.  Purchase on Amazon:   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QZ996VM?notRedirectToSDP=1&ref_=dbs_mng_calw_2&storeType=ebooks

The Secret Seven

Image
The Secret Seven Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Lucy McConnell and Ellie Thornton The Secret Seven sets up what seems like a fantastic new series. These seven senior citizens are a hilarious group and I am excited to see what these authors come up with next. With so many misteps and misunderstandings- I can only imagine what blunders will come next. That is in addition to the successful matchmaking attempts. Ellie Thornton and Lucy McConnell write such great romances as shown with this story and the rest of this series is sure to follow.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Seven-Lucy-McConnell-ebook/dp/B09SR7D9VK/ref=sr_1_3?crid=23TDHSMUQD7EE&keywords=the+secret+seven&qid=1647295097&sprefix=the+secret+seven%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-3

Matched with Her Runaway Groom

Image
Matched with Her Runaway Groom Written by: Britney M. Mills This sweet romance by Britney Mills was such a fun read. With a break-up bucket list and so many awkward interactions between this couple who had broken up long ago- there was so many moments that made me smile and say you go girl! The wit and the girl power in this book made me want to be friends with Rachelle and her group while hitting Landon upside the head a time or two. The characters felt real. I love the romantic comedy genre and this one just adds to it.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RF8SPTX/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i2

Love in Bloom

Image
Love in Bloom A Sweet Romantic Comedy Written by: Jenny Proctor This enemies to lovers romance has so many sweet and comedic moments. I love how Jenny Proctor weaves humor throughout the story. Humor that both the characters can enjoy. With some steamy moments (nothing in your face)- the romance was spicy and I loved reading them. These characters have some great depth and this comedy was so fun while the setting was fantastic! Jenny Proctor can create such a beautiful vision of where the characters are walking day to day. It just adds to the greatness of the book.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Love-Bloom-Sweet-Romantic-Comedy-ebook/dp/B09JRDNJBF/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=love+in+bloom&qid=1645659370&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFSNDlPU0RJOENUM1gmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAwNjg4MTczVEo4UlQxT0Q4Vkg2JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxOTczODMzNFZYN01XNEUxOU9KJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Dizzy in Love

Image
Dizzy in Love Creekville Romance Series Written by: Brittany Larsen Dizzy in Love is such a light-hearted romance. While dealing with heavy topics such as divorce and (slight spoiler alert) miscarriage, Brittany Larsen brings in light-hearted scenes such as a little graffiti depicting a jerk. I love every moment of Izzy's awkward moments mixed with Jayden's more steady personality. These characters balance each other out so well without one overwhelming the other. This story really is such a sweet romantic comedy with so many moments of coming to know one's self. Izzy has so much character progression that I can relate to- but with her own spin on it. Brittany Larsen created such a fun book to read.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09N2YDBWW/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i3

A Royal Christmas for the Marine

Image
A Royal Christmas for the Marine First Comes Love: Book 4 Written by: Jess Mastorakos This sweet military romance pulls in the idea of a fairytale love. The heroine is a hard-working, military gal whose only sense of family came from her time as a marine. The prince charming knows his responsibilities but also wants to find a little bit of true love and finds the online dating app might give him all he dreams of. A Royal Christmas for the Marine was a fun read. The light-hearted snarkiness coming from Maya mixed with the formal manner of speaking from Theo makes for a romance that will make your heart happy. Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09JYVT5HL?ref_=dbs_m_mng_rwt_calw_tkin_3&storeType=ebooks&qid=1643815683&sr=8-2

A Princess for the Marine

Image
A Princess for the Marine A sweet romantic comedy Written by: Jess Mastorakos A Princess for the Marine was a sweet fun romance. A princess trying to forge her own path meets a marine who is trying to take care of his mother and sister. They are both determined in their path. Jess Mastorakos set up Huck's character perfectly in the previous books in the series. His determination in paying off his mom's debt comes through so clearly just the same as his goodness and kindness. This story does have some hallmark plausible deniability as Zara's bodyguards leave her alone as she stays in an unsecured location. I don't mind it though as it makes me contemplate my childhood dreams of being a princess and whether it would be all that it is cracked up to be.  I do love a great love story. From the meet cutes all the way to finding their happily ever after- this one is just as perfect as the rest! Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DB5XFCH?ref_=dbs_m_mng_r...

Love Off-Limits

Image
Love Off-Limits A Sweet Romantic Comedy Written by: Jenny Proctor Oh my goodness! This story is such a fun romantic comedy. With great characters returning to the series and fun new characters introduced- I loved this third book. Both characters go through a period of discovering themselves and finding their way to being true to themselves. I love the setting Jenny Proctor created with Stonebrook farm paired with the good old southern feel.  Jenny Proctor's books are on my must-read list. They have such quick wit and are so fun in such unique ways. Love Off-Limits adds to that in an almost completely different way than the previous two books. The comedy, romance, and fun are all there. Not only that- but she sets up the next book in a way that makes me ready to read it now and find out what happens to the new characters.  Purchase on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09J1TH1CC/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0
