Secret Angel

Image
Secret Angel Written by: Cherry Christensen Secret Angel is a sweet and short love story. While their romance was a little disjointed and seemed to be missing some key points- it was definitely a novella that happened quickly and the two fell in love. Besides that, the story was enjoyable.

Windows of Love

Windows of love A Teachers of Trumanville Book 2 Written by: Carol Moncado Carol Moncado wrote another fantastic love story. With a small town girl and a wealthy tech mogul coming together in a rare chance while he is in town for a meeting, they slowly but surely move past their skeletons in their closets and fall in love. These two characters are good-hearted people who deserve the best in life and they are finding it together.  Carol Moncado's romances are always such sweet, clean Christian stories and this was such a good one.  With a Christmas setting and the beauty of Trumanville, a sweet story like this would be perfect for a Hallmark movie. I can't wait for more from this series.

Call it Kismet

Image
Call it Kismet A beach, a resort, and a second chance Written by: Brittni Miner Call it Kismet was a short romance set in a small town. After a misunderstanding that pushed their romance on hold for years, the two meet up again. This story was short and sweet. While it jumped back and forth between the present, the past, and in-between, the story was still understandable. It was satisfying to see the characters find each other again and to have justice served.

Won by Her Second Chance Cowboy

Won By Her Second Chance Cowboy Open Skies Billionaire Club Book 5 Written by: Audree Snow This sweet romance takes the city out of the artist and fills him with the soul that comes from the country. As artist Fletcher and single mom Annie come together, they both hide secrets of their own. They both have growth that comes from their two weeks and the character development helps them feel real.  This romance was a quick read and I enjoyed finishing it within a couple hours.

(Not So) Alone for Christmas

(Not So) Alone for Christmas A Sweet Romantic Comedy Holiday Novella Written by: Jenny Proctor (Not So) Alone for Christmas was sweet romantic comedy. I loved how Maddy felt so alone and bah humbug after her friend abandoned her for Christmas but then found her happily ever after in an unexpected way. The romance was so sweet- the awkwardness of meeting again years after high school was comedic, and the tension added just the right touch. With a snowed-in Christmas with noone else around, the couple had the perfect opportunity to explore new and old feelings.  While it was short- what can I expect from a novella? I would have loved to explore these characters in a longer novel but Jenny Proctor did a great job of shortening their love story to fit in the page constraints of a novella. What better success than to leave me wanting more? Once again, Jenny Proctor hooked me with her writing.

Her Next Door Cowboy

Image
Her Next Door Cowboy A Prairie Valley Romance Written by: Ellen Joy Her Next Door Cowboy is a romantic drama. Between Ryan, the recovering alcoholic and Rosie's family problems- there is a lot going on. I loved how the horse world was central to this story. Rosie stays true to herself as a cowgirl and in romance. She finds her place in the world after going through quite a bit. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous story come back though there was a little more drama there than I would have expected seeing as this was not their story but since they were all family, it fit in together.

Wrong Train to Paris

Image
Wrong Train to Paris Romance on the Orient Express Written by: Jennifer Moore Wrong Train to Paris was a beautiful sequel to It Started in Budapest. With the amazing landscapes of rural France to the awe-inspiring wonders of the world exposition. Julia has the heart of an angel while her good intentions lead to trouble. Luc's gruff exterior makes his heart of gold inside all the more special. From a wrong train to a week spent in the middle of nowhere, this story has a romantic feeling start to finish. This was such a feel-good story that I couldn't wait to turn the next page. A perfect sweet romance.

The Duke Meets His Match

Image
The Duke Meets His Match A Regency Romance Written by: Karen Tuft The Duke Meets His Match takes Pride and Prejudice and gives it a run for its money. From initial impressions of harpy and His Loftiness to falling in love, this story has everything. Fairy godmothers, intervening princes, conniving women, and gossipy matrons. The characters stay true to their inner selves while finding an ally in each other. Both felt their days for marriage were over when an unexpected circumstances threw them together.  I loved how this story had a great plotline and conflict that did not come from a terrible misunderstanding or lack of communication- instead the conflict was outside influences pushing against the characters and they were able to work together to find a solution, falling in love in the process.  I truly enjoyed reading this regency romance.
