 The Danger with Diamonds A Falcon Point Suspense Written by: Traci Hunter Abramson and Sian Ann Bessey It's finally here! The sequel to The Heirs of Falcon Point was another fantastic story by some great authors. These two authors know how to write together. I couldn't tell this story was written by one more than one person and if I had to guess as to who wrote which part- I am sure I would fail. It definitely had the feel of one of Traci Abramson's CIA books with intrigue, suspense, and some surprise characters. I love this series. The Heirs to Falcon Point was a better book but this one stands right up there with it.

  Snowed in at Silver Mountain  Snowed In for Christmas Clean Romance Series Written by: Stephanie Fowers Snowed In At Silver Mountain was quite the story. With strong Christian messages and a story of forgiveness mixed into an intense survival story, Stephanie Fowers wrote an intense book. The characters have hidden depths- both good and bad. It took a while to figure out who is good and bad Stephanie Fowers hides it quite well. The love story was so sweet with a redemption alongside it.   The Luckless Second Age of Retha: Book 1 A MMORPG and LitRPG Online Adventure Written by: A.M. Sohma The Luckless is the start of a fantastic series by A.M. Sohma a.k.a. KM Shea set in the fantasical world of a video game. While I know video games may not be for some- you don't need much if any video game knowledge to become enthralled in this story. From start to end (and this series isn't all written yet) Sohma drew me in and I couldn't wait to see what happens. The humor, the ridiculousness, the imagery- it all wove together to create a fun story that has me waiting for the next in the series to come out. A little bit of romance, some self-sacrifce (without anything too dramatic), and a lot of fun makes this story what it is.  Heirs of Falcon Point Written by: Traci Hunter Abramson, Sian Ann Bessey, Paige Edwards, and A.L. Sowards From Austria during WWII to all over current day Europe, these authors wove a story of intrigue and suspense. While we knew who the bad guy was from the beginning, Traci Abramson, Sian Bessey, Paige Edwards, and AL Sowards worked together to make this story engaging and I couldn't put it down. The way these authors worked together made the story seamless. The beginning made me reminiscent of The Sound of Music with how the characters are escaping the Nazis who want to conscript them but with the authors' own flair. This lent the story a familiar air with answering the question, what would have happened that I never knew I needed to know. I came to love the characters-both the original Lang siblings and their current-day descendants. With the list of authors on the cover, I knew this story would be fantastic- but I was blown away with how detailed and captivating this was f...

 The Crown of Rosemund Written by: Michele Ashman Bell This story is different for Michele Ashman Bell's typical stories. With a deep dive into historical, the whole story makes me longing to know how Rosemund will survive the hostile takeover of her home and crown. There is some deep grief and loss in this story that leads to strong personal growth for the princess. There is a lot that happens over the course of not much time. Michele Ashman Bell does well at creating character development. While the relationships could use some more depth and more of the progression illustrated, overall this was a successful foray into a new genre. 

  Of Sword and Shadow Written by: A.L. Sowards Of Sword and Shadow is such an intense book from start to finish. A slave girl as long as she can remember., she follows the orders of her master in political manipulations. The entire time I was reading, I couldn't stop in the middle of a scene and the scenes blended from one to another. The story gave an interesting perspective on the city of Thebes and the occupations that took place. The characters added depth and a richness to the story that made me want to go research the effects of the siege on the Greeks.  A.L. Sowards did a great job of telling this piece of the past while making it a real story. The intricacies of the people behind the scenes, creating political upheaval to disrupt the strength of the politicians in Thebes, was so skillfully done. The story was not just about a slave girl and her path to a better life, a path to freedom- it was also a story of Thebes. 

 Snowed in At the Archive Snowed in for Christmas Clean Romance Series: Book 4 Written by Ellie Thornton Snowed in At the Archive was a great action book combined with some adventure. ATF agent Alec and lawyer Mila combined forces to create some great sparks and take down the people who wanted to destroy Mila's town. While most of the romance happened before this book ever began, the reconciliation and overcoming of differences made the plotline sweet while the action of criminals amped up the excitement level.  This whole series has some great stories written by authors who were able to tie in the snowed in theme in unique ways that worked. While I read them out of order, that didn't matter as each story had its own characters, setting, and plot. They make me want to be snowed in with my honey for Christmas somewhere. 

Sleep Robin Hood Outlaws: Book Three Written by: M.C. Frank Sleep Robin Hood is a fantastic continuation of the Outlaws series. With action, adventure, romance, suspense, and everything in-between this story hooked me. I can't wait for the next year to pass so I can read the next installation in this retelling. The characters have such passion and feelings that go between hope, despair, and betrayal. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving something away but this series is a well-written depiction of the tale of Robin Hood. 

 Georgana's Secret Written by: Arlem Hawks Georgana's Secret is a great story of intrigue, hidden identities, and love. As Georgana and Dominic become unlikely friends aboard her father's ship, they forge a bond that turns to love when Dominic comes to find Georgana is female. This story shows how the war against Napoleon Bonaporte affected all, not just those in the military.  This story showed the beauty of the sea mixed with the hardship of war and all that can go wrong in-between. The characters are strong and courageous in the face of all that happens to them. This Proper Romance was a read that I didn't want to put down. 

  Caetlin's Courage Cwenland Chronicles Book One Written by: Rachel A. James Caetlin's Courage is story of courage, determination, intrigue, and duplicity. Rachel James manages to write this one in such way the reader is left guessing until the very end. Who is on who's team and what everyone's end goal is.  Not only is this a story of historical adventure and suspense, it has a great romance layered within the story. The characters have individual arcs that drive the the rest of the story.  Caetlin's Courage is a great story that could use a little polishing. 

 On the Run A Guardian Novel Written by: Traci Hunter Abramson On the Run is a book that gives crime shows like NCIS, CSI, and Blue Bloods a run for their money. There is action, there is adventure, there is romance, and it all lies within the realms of national security for the United States while being set in a different country.  This is a great follow-up to Traci Abramson's other guardian novels but works well as a stand-alone novel as well. The plot line is cohesive and the mystery of whodunit lasts until Traci is ready for the big reveal. There are different pieces to different mysteries running all throughout which makes this such a good, intense read.  All of Traci's books give me the thrill of the chase without scaring me beyond what I can handle. Everything in this story feels so realistic. Traci Hunter Abramson's first hand experience with the intelligence communities shows in her expertise of writing. 

  Code Word Written by: Traci Hunter Abramson Code Word by Traci Hunter Abramson takes the best of action and adventure books and mixes it with the perfection amount of romance. As Carina Channing lives her life hiding from her past and all involved, she stumbles upon Jay Wellman- a Navy SEAL. Jay is the man to help in the intrigue that Carina can't hide from anymore. Traci gets my heart pumping every time with her real life experience in the intelligence community. Anytime I want to escape with a little more than just a romance I know I can turn to one of her books and this one follows suit.  While this story takes place in the world of the other Navy SEALs that Traci Abramson has written about, it is a stand alone and is a great introduction into the world she has created. The characters feel real and she throws you into the life on the run, hiding from the mob. This was a great story with the intensity of any action/adventure movie. 

Everything I Do Outlaws: Book 1 Written by: M.C. Frank Everything I Do was a book I did not want to put down. Written in the world of Robin Hood with Maid Marian playing a new and intriguing part, I wanted to find out how everything ended. Starting with an archer whose skills exceed the infamous Robin Hood and a new addition to the band of merry men, this story runs the gamut from heartache, heroism, fear, and satisfaction. Seeing as this is book one of the outlaw series it left me wanting more. The characters are real with heartbreaking issues- depression, anxiety, hopelessness while still trying to move forward to help the people who are struggling around them. Each individual has the horrors of war written upon their pasts in unique ways. While M.C. Frank has written these characters and the story in a realistic way, it is still a beautiful story that I enjoyed reading.
