Grey's Sky

Image
Grey's Sky The Harvest Ranch Romance Series Book 22 Written by: Stephanie Fowers While this new romance just came out and it has all the makings of a second chance for romance- it also has all sorts of intrigue and suspense. It is so satisfying to see Sky and Grey to find love through everything else, this is more than just a love story. I definitely recommend reading the other books in the Harvest Ranch Romance series before taking this one on as it will give you the background you need to understand everything going on.

The Bridesmaid

Image
The Bridesmaid Brides of Beaufort Book 3 Written by: Jess Mastorakos This bridesmaid times seven has wondered if she would ever get her happily ever after- especially after the man she loved disappeared without any sort of explanation for three years. When he comes back into town she is ready to spit nails and the fiery moment that happens when she does makes for an entertaining scene. Somehow, Jess manages to have so many of those emotion packed moments all throughout the book. Fear, joy, anger, love- all of them in there and it makes this story so easy to read. Rather than everything being like he never left- Jess makes it real and shows the raw vulnerability that would come from such a situation. These characters were so fun to read about and seeing the main characters from the other books in this series return made me smile and enjoy the story even more.

Kissing in the Deep End

Kissing in the Deep End Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Erica Penrod This cute new romance was such a fun read. The meddling secret seven seniors are at it again with their not so inconspicuous ways. They add humor to the whole story while Erica Penrod adds in some reality that could come from being on the world stage as an Olympic diver. The mix of the comedy and the seriousness of Nora's anxiety makes this story work so well. I enjoyed watching the romance happen underneath her own eyes and seeing how her personality take this story to its unique level.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Kissing-Deep-End-Erica-Penrod-ebook/dp/B09QY7J2ZJ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3GB4HR3H2OE5R&keywords=kissing+in+the+deep+end&qid=1650773132&sprefix=kissing+in+the+deep+e%2Caps%2C278&sr=8-1

A Brilliant Night of Stars and Ice

Image
A Brillliant Night of Stars and Ice Written by: Rebecca Connolly Based on the remarkable true story of the Carpathia―the one ship and her legendary captain who answered the distress call of the sinking Titanic. Rebecca Connolly's haunting but beautiful retelling of the story of the captain of the Carpathia and some of the survivors of the sinking of the titanic uses powerful imagery to evoke and portray the emotions that would have been felt among all that night. This story brought me to tears. The precursor to the sinking showed things as light-hearted. The sinking brought reality and tragedy to the seen. The scenes afterwards showed the devastation, raw emotion, and heroism of not just the captain but of all the crew and passengers of the Carpathia. While I personally struggle reading books about tragedies like this- there is such importance in not forgetting the disasters that have come before us. Rebecca Connolly does the event justice in portraying what it would have been li

Retold

Retold: A Regency Fairytale Retellings Collection Written by: M.C. Frank About the stories: Unwanted.  Three boys grew up in an orphanage, abandoned and despised by those who should have taken care of them. They were starved, hit, and abandoned for years. But they are men now. Gentlemen, so to speak. A little broken, a little damaged and a little destroyed by life, but they hide it behind toughness, money, amazingly folded cravats and, in some cases, illegal activities. Their main strength is each other: they are best friends, partners in crime, a found family. And then comes the one battle that every gentleman, no matter how brooding, haughty or handsome, must face alone. These are the stories of how they each fight, and lose, the battle against love. Hooked:  About: Wendy and Lord Darlington  When Wendy Hooke was a little girl, she saved a boy from starvation. The boy, Peter, taught her how to fly. Now the boy is a man, a gorgeous man, and he has forgotten all about her. She watche

Beach Home Beginnings

Beach Home Beginnings Cliffside Point Series: Book 1 Written by: Ellen Joy Beach Home Beginnings is the start of a new great series. Evelyn Rose is not a spring chicken anymore. She lived a good life with a great husband. This story doesn't start at the beginning of her adulthood- instead it takes this woman who has experience and shows her coming to terms with her past and finding a new reason to live. This story is refreshing in that there isn't a lot of drama. Yes there is relationship issues and coming to new realizations but the immaturity from young love isn't there. That makes a big difference in helping this story stand out. Young romances wouldn't be the same but this one is about beginnings at a later point in life and it resonated well with me.
