Healing Hearts Savage Wells: Book 2 Written by: Sarah Eden The second book in the Savage Wells series pulls at the heart strings just as much as the original, if not more. This book definitely had me crying at the end as Miriam's secret is brought to light. With mistaken identity and mail-order bride gone wrong, Miriam Bricks and Gideon MacNamara meet at the train station and immediately sparks fly. While those sparks are more from mislaid plans than attraction, romance slowly grows as these compromise and accommodate each other's needs.  This story creates a relationship to model after. With communication, trust, and determination, these two characters show strong resilience while facing insurmountable odds. Each character in this novel has a deep back story that constructs their actions in each scene. Sarah Eden demonstrates her ability to research the time period and specific hardships that Miriam encounters throughout this book. This book is much more than just an e

She illustrates the power of redemptive love as two sworn enemies become something they never dreamed of. Elinor Asheley finds forgiveness in her heart as Hugh Sterling humbles himself before her and shows how he is no longer the man he once was. Rebecca evokes such powerful imagery that makes me want to go to the country estate and join the Asheley family in celebrating Christmas.
