Cowboy's Second Chance with the Nanny

Image
Cowboy's Second Chance with the Nanny Racing Hearts and Horses: Book 1 Written by: Audree Snow This second chance romance story is just the introduction to this story. It sets up the back story of Beaumont and Sunday. These two characters have quite a bit of negative history that is going to take a lot of work to overcome. Audree Snow has set up the story to last through a few of these short story type sub-books and I am intrigued by what is to come.

The Princess Home For Christmas

Image
The Princess: Home for Christmas Billionaire Royal Written by: Sophia Summers The Princess Home for Christmas is a friends to enemies to lovers romance. Dahlia Valdez hates everything about Thomas but when push comes to shove and she sees beyond what she knows of his past, they truly fall in love. As with many novellas, this romance happened fast and Dahlia got over her frustrations with Thomas quickly. I would have loved to see more development in their relationship- especially with how many negative feelings there were to start with. Their struggles were not small but they were able to overcome them quickly- perhaps quicker than I would expect in a real relationship.

The Blessing of Babies

The Blessing of Babies Christmas at Shiloh Ridge Ranch Written by: Liz Isaacson This short book is a intermediary book that catches you up on what is happening in Shiloh Ridge Ranch. This is one that you definitely need to read the other stories to understand what is going on otherwise you will be lost. It was fun to read from the perspectives of the different ranch wives/fiancees as well as to see so many babies be born within the family. It has me ready to read the next in the happenings of Shiloh Ridge Ranch.

Her Cowboy's Fake Proposal Book 6

Her Cowboy's Fake Proposal Red River's Hope Book 6 Written by: Audree Snow This final installment of the Red River's Hope series wraps the story up quickly. The building committee get their comeuppance, Grace and Colton figure their relationship out and some friendships are mended. A lot happens in this little novella. It feels a little rushed in finishing the story but iI enjoyed seeing them find their Happily Ever After- especially with all they had to go through.

Half Hitch

Half Hitch Lost Creek Rodeo Book 5 Written by: Sophia Summers, Heather B. Moore, Rebecca Connolly Half Hitch is another great rodeo story set in the world of Lost Creek. I love these authors idea of a ranch to help women heal from their struggles. This story is more focused on the romance of Hazel Winters and Eric Davis than the process Hazel goes through to heal.  I missed seeing her healing process like the stories from the rest of the women in the Lost Creek Rodeo series have but the romance is still sweet and this couple has quite a bit to go through before they are able to find their happily ever after.  Sophia Summers, Heather B. Moore, and Rebecca Connolly work extremely well together in writing romance. Their sports romances are such fun reads and each one has a unique flair from the personalities of the characters to the role each of them play in their individual sports.

Isabelle and Alexander

Isabelle and Alexander A Proper Romance Written by: Rebecca Anderson Isabelle and Alexander started me off thinking that Isabelle and her cousin would end up falling in love because of the closeness of their relationship but it couldn't be more different. As Isabelle and Alexander are married after barely making an acquaintance with each other, their romance has a slow start until a tragedy befalls Alexander. Life as Isabelle knew it was gone- not just the silly, light-hearted life from girlhood but the lonely life she had lead since their marriage. Her character develop is deep and moving as she grows into a woman with depth, willing to do whatever it takes to help her husband-physically and emotionally/spiritually. I relate well to her hardships and growth. Isabelle inspires me to do as she did and take charge of her situation. Nothing would get in her way and she was able to find her happily ever after- nothing, even a disgruntled husband would get in her way.  While Isabelle

Her Cowboy's Fake Proposal Book 5

Her Cowboy's Fake Proposal Red River's Hope Book 5 Written by: Audree Snow It is hard to believe this series of short stories is almost coming to an end. This second to last installment continues the intrigue as Colton and Grace are almost to the point of continuing their relationship past the point of fake. It has been a sweet read and fun little bite-sized pieces throughout the last month. This is Audree Snow's sweet spot in writing in my opinion.

Dancing to Freedom

Dancing to Freedom Dream's Edge Book 0.5 Written by: Traci Hunter Abramson Whether Traci Abramson writes action/suspense or romance- she stars at it all. I love reading all of her books. She has just the right amount of intrigue and suspense in both what is going to happen and how the romance is going to work out. I have to say I love every single books of hers. This story takes the setting of a Russian dancer in the height of the cold war and tells it from her perspective and the hunky hockey player who ends up in the hotel room next door. It was so interesting reading and thinking about what it would be like to be someone who lived on the other side of the Iron Curtain- the fear that is instilled in them, the restraint and suppression. Traci Abramson does this without overwhelming the story with feelings of dread and hopelessness. This really was a sweet, short romance that I loved reading in preparation for the first book in the series- An Unlikely Pair to come out.
