How to Woo a Cowgirl

How to Woo a Cowgirl The Harvest Ranch Romance Series: Book 15 Written by: Lucy McConnell and Ellie Thornton This Harvest Ranch Romance has quite the sassy and driven heroine. Zoey comes to town determined to fix her family and finds herself in need of a little fixing and love. Hunter on the other hand, never knew what hit him when he first meets the Carroll girl. He has his life mapped out and she wasn't in the plans- at least not yet. Ellie Thornton and Lucy McConnell had this story hopping from the beginning with the fire and drive between these two characters. The town of Harvest Ranch was not as big of a background in this story but it definitely played a part in helping set the scene for a fun, light-hearted romance.

Coming Home to Silver Leaf Falls

Coming Home to Silver Leaf Falls A Silver Leaf Falls Novella Written by: Meg Easton This sweet second chance romance was just right for an evening after a long day with the kids. Meg Easton wrote a light-hearted romance that brought two high school friends back together. As Liz and Noah are both at crossroads of their lives and as they rekindle their friendship- and find a little romance they find just what was missing in their lives. Both of these characters show great development. The way they interact with each other and all of the kids in the story made me excited for their future and what they have to come after they get their happily ever after.

Heartbeats in Honolulu

Heartbeats in Honolulu Kailua Marines Book 5 Written by: Jess Mastorakos Heartbeats in Honolulu is a great introduction into a part of the military world I never knew much about. As two marines start off their relationship in a hotheaded way they become teammates, friends, and then a little more. This story was a great balance of military lingo- specifically in the recruiting world and the romance that goes alongside it. Nora and Hunter are a great pair. The way Jess Mastorakos writes their relationship progression made this a truly enjoyable read.

The Merchant and the Rogue

The Merchant and the Rogue The Dread Penny Society Written by: Sarah M. Eden I don't know how Sarah Eden does it- going from Regency romances set in the high classes of society to penny dreadfuls set in the Victorian era mixed with a secret society of good doing gentleman who are trying to solve the problems of the common and street class of London. The mystery she has woven into the pages- of not just one story but three. All three stories had me intrigued and hooked until the end. Brogan and Vera's romance grew so slowly but sweetly in the midst of the dangerous events happening due to the low-lifes four fingered Mike and the Mastiff.  This story is just as great as her others. She really manages to show, not tell- giving life to the world of Victorian England. I can tell how much research Sarah Eden puts into each of her books. It breathes life into it and makes it more real than most of the stories out there. These stories are always a must-read for me.

The Hope of Her Heart

The Hope of Her Heart Christmas at Shiloh Ridge Ranch Written by: Liz Isaacson Etta Glover has been waiting her whole to find her true love become a mother and in the final book of the Christmas at Shiloh Ridge Ranch series she finds her happily ever after. I have been waiting for her story for the last several stories as she is such a great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Liz Isaacson did a great job of wrapping up the series. Each of the characters from the previous books has some part to play in this as she finishes up the series. They have their struggles but the Glover family is one that supports each other and really shows what a great family can be like.  I really enjoyed reading this whole series. The whole thing could be a hallmark t.v. show as it is such a heartwarming, wholesome story. I wouldn't be surprised to someday see a movie or several made out of this families' experiences. They really are a great family to read about.

So Not My Thing

So Not My Thing Written by: Melanie Jacobson If you have ever wanted an introduction into the culture and vibe of New Orleans- this sweet and comedic romance is the story for you. Melanie Jacobson takes this romance and immerses it into the scene of New Orleans. She takes you across the city into each of the different scenes in a way that makes you feel like you are there. The music, the people, the food- it is all included. This is all before you add in the fantastic romance story.  A washed-up rock star trying to find his own place in the world and a commercial real estate agent who is the epitome of calm and collected come together in a venture to find the perfect jazz restaurant and things start to get interesting. These two have some interesting history and as their relationship progress I couldn't wait to see what happened.
