Landing on Love

Image
Landing on Love Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Holly Stevenson A new Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy just came out and the secret seven matchmakers are at it again! While Walt may have been great at maneuver in the navy- in the matters of love his efforts at subtle maneuvering fail. It is hilarious reading about how these retired citizens finagle their relatives into finding love. Holly Stevenson is an expert at writing light-hearted romantic comedies. These are entertaining and make me smile every time I finish one.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QY5YVW9?ref_=dbs_m_mng_rwt_calw_tkin_1&storeType=ebooks&qid=1648851755&sr=8-1

It Started with a Note

Image
It Started with a Note Loved Started Book 2 Written by: Meg Easton It Started with a Note fulfilled all my expectations of a sweet international romance. Small town farm girl, Avery Parks, and high end business man, Nicholas Servais, come from so very different backgrounds but Meg Easton shows how to make it work. Their concerns about a romance were very real and some of the people in their lives didn't think it should but these two show the power of love and commitment. I loved how Easton brought the cities of Belgium to life along with introducing the intricacies and delicacies of chocolatiering (and who wouldn't want to read about that- mhmmm). She had me wanting to get out and travel as well as eat some delicious chocolate. Watch out or you will too! Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JMFT6T1

Not on the Agenda

Not on the Agenda Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Lucy McConnell I just finished this romantic comedy and it was gold! The awkward unbalanced of Elizabeth Mabel Matthews vs the coordinated and surfer personality of Chad Huntington makes for an opposites attract type romance. While their businesses are very different- they are both dedicated owners and will do what they can to have them succeed. I loved this contrast. There was the perfect amount of similarities which made this relationship seem like it has the potential for success while keeping enough different that there is still intrigue.  Lucy McConnell added the secret seven in which ramped up the comedy. The conniving of their schemes and the determination of each of these retirees made me smile the whole way through.  Purchase on Amazon:   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QZ996VM?notRedirectToSDP=1&ref_=dbs_mng_calw_2&storeType=ebooks

The Secret Seven

Image
The Secret Seven Diamond Cove Romantic Comedy Series Written by: Lucy McConnell and Ellie Thornton The Secret Seven sets up what seems like a fantastic new series. These seven senior citizens are a hilarious group and I am excited to see what these authors come up with next. With so many misteps and misunderstandings- I can only imagine what blunders will come next. That is in addition to the successful matchmaking attempts. Ellie Thornton and Lucy McConnell write such great romances as shown with this story and the rest of this series is sure to follow.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Seven-Lucy-McConnell-ebook/dp/B09SR7D9VK/ref=sr_1_3?crid=23TDHSMUQD7EE&keywords=the+secret+seven&qid=1647295097&sprefix=the+secret+seven%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-3

The Valet's Secret

Image
The Valet's Secret Written by: Josi S. Kilpack This sweet Cinderella type retelling was a little frustrating for me. For a book trying to fall into the regency era and still be realistic, a few of the main plot points are not what would have happened. If this story was pulled into the future it would have been fantastic.  The way Josi Kilpack brought the Cinderella into it was fun. The dress she wore was beautiful. The evil cousin screwing up the fantastic ending added a great twist. The way the support characters step up in the end to support the main characters added to the pros list. I just had a hard time accepting the set-up of the relationship.  Purchase on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1629729892/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i47

Bargaining for the Barrister

Image
Bargaining for the Barrister Written by Anneka R. Walker Anneka Walker's new regency romance brings in some deep characters. Paul has a traumatic childhood and Louisa is trying to find a decent guy to marry that isn't just after her fortune. Their struggles are so real. The relationship progression feels natural throughout the story. There were so many moments that had me wanting to nudge them along a little bit. Anneka Walker creates immersive writing, helping me fall into the world and in love with her characters.  Purchase on Amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Bargaining-Barrister-Anneka-R-Walker-ebook/dp/B09J9ZBPG4/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=y2120&pf_rd_p=a654ad73-af1c-40d7-8dbb-00cce9c459f1&pf_rd_r=7630ZB6CMBKJA7HQX95G&pd_rd_r=c42bce79-5937-457c-bc9e-e52d600440e6&pd_rd_wg=xHQ6W&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m

Practically Perfect

Image
Practically Perfect Good Girls Don't Come Last Written by: Jennifer Youngblood Practically Perfect by Jennifer Youngblood is such a fun second chance romance. Penelope gets the chance to be true to herself after trying to force herself into the mold for her jerk of an ex and ex-in-laws. I loved seeing her character progression throughout the story. How she learns to stand up for herself. This is definitely a great story for anyone going through a divorce or separation in relationships. It is so hard on her but she makes it through. Jennifer Youngblood has some witty moments but most of all she creates scenes where you shout yes woman! You go girl.
