Of Sword and Shadow

Of Sword and Shadow is such an intense book from start to finish. A slave girl as long as she can remember., she follows the orders of her master in political manipulations. The entire time I was reading, I couldn't stop in the middle of a scene and the scenes blended from one to another. The story gave an interesting perspective on the city of Thebes and the occupations that took place. The characters added depth and a richness to the story that made me want to go research the effects of the siege on the Greeks. 

A.L. Sowards did a great job of telling this piece of the past while making it a real story. The intricacies of the people behind the scenes, creating political upheaval to disrupt the strength of the politicians in Thebes, was so skillfully done. The story was not just about a slave girl and her path to a better life, a path to freedom- it was also a story of Thebes.

With Sienna and Craig's wedding along with all of the political hoopla going on, this story does not rest. Traci writes such great suspense! I was left wondering throughout the story whether they they were going to get their happily ever after! There was romance, suspense, and the amazing Saint Squad. Any story with the Saint Squad is full of laughter and adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end.

Sleep Robin Hood Outlaws: Book Three Written by: M.C. Frank Sleep Robin Hood is a fantastic continuation of the Outlaws series. With action, adventure, romance, suspense, and everything in-between this story hooked me. I can't wait for the next year to pass so I can read the next installation in this retelling. The characters have such passion and feelings that go between hope, despair, and betrayal. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving something away but this series is a well-written depiction of the tale of Robin Hood.
