From Festival Kiss to Wedded Bliss

This sweet romance was such a fun read. A misunderstood bad boy from the past coming back to his home town for a fresh start and a sweet leather-worker find themselves in an unexpected and awkward situation. This uncomfortable beginnings leads to a series of encounters at the famous town festival that takes the romance from awkward to swoony. These characters are unexpected, especially from their background. Kayla has a witty side to her that made me smile and Dean is not the bad boy that his past makes him out to be. As they fall in love, I found myself rooting for them to get over their misunderstandings and all that was standing in their way. 

While their romance and relationship ended up finding its happily ever after, I wished I could have seen Dean renew his relationships with his estranged family. He had such conflict inside himself regarding them that I wanted to know more. Maybe Lucy McConnell will show that in future books.

  Home on the Harbor Cliffside Point: Book 4 Written by: Ellen Joy The fourth book in this series has all of the characters come back with big appearances. While this may hold Harper's love story, it also holds the love story of the whole family (blood and chosen)- the love story of how these characters found each other and rely on each other. While the romance is sweet, the greater meaning comes from how these women are light to each other and can rely on each other. Reading about their struggles and will to survive makes me want to reach out to those around me so they know I have their backs and love them.  Overall- I wish I could have seen more of Harper's love story. There is so much to her back story and understanding who she is as a person that I felt a little gypped on seeing her happily ever after. To seeing the characters fall in love after they came around to enjoying each other's company. Maybe we will see more of that in the next book!

Sleep Robin Hood Outlaws: Book Three Written by: M.C. Frank Sleep Robin Hood is a fantastic continuation of the Outlaws series. With action, adventure, romance, suspense, and everything in-between this story hooked me. I can't wait for the next year to pass so I can read the next installation in this retelling. The characters have such passion and feelings that go between hope, despair, and betrayal. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving something away but this series is a well-written depiction of the tale of Robin Hood.
