(Not So) Alone for Christmas
(Not So) Alone for Christmas
A Sweet Romantic Comedy Holiday Novella
Written by: Jenny Proctor
(Not So) Alone for Christmas was sweet romantic comedy. I loved how Maddy felt so alone and bah humbug after her friend abandoned her for Christmas but then found her happily ever after in an unexpected way. The romance was so sweet- the awkwardness of meeting again years after high school was comedic, and the tension added just the right touch. With a snowed-in Christmas with noone else around, the couple had the perfect opportunity to explore new and old feelings.
While it was short- what can I expect from a novella? I would have loved to explore these characters in a longer novel but Jenny Proctor did a great job of shortening their love story to fit in the page constraints of a novella. What better success than to leave me wanting more? Once again, Jenny Proctor hooked me with her writing.
