Cowboy Inspired Romance: Book 1

Sophia Summers broke up her normal genre to create this great Christian romance. A cowboy with a big heart and a singer who returns home after disappearing at the altar this love story teaches forgiveness, redemption, and working through the hard times. I loved this reminder that hard times come and with help from a higher power, love and commitment can survive and thrive despite mistakes. While both of these characters have their moments where I wanted to shake some sense into them, they are relatable. Each of us has the fight or flight reflex- not just in survival but in love too. While the characters take that reflex a little to the extreme, they demonstrate how to move past it too.

 So with some drama, Christian themes, and a feel-good romance story, I definitely enjoyed this one.

  Home on the Harbor Cliffside Point: Book 4 Written by: Ellen Joy The fourth book in this series has all of the characters come back with big appearances. While this may hold Harper's love story, it also holds the love story of the whole family (blood and chosen)- the love story of how these characters found each other and rely on each other. While the romance is sweet, the greater meaning comes from how these women are light to each other and can rely on each other. Reading about their struggles and will to survive makes me want to reach out to those around me so they know I have their backs and love them.  Overall- I wish I could have seen more of Harper's love story. There is so much to her back story and understanding who she is as a person that I felt a little gypped on seeing her happily ever after. To seeing the characters fall in love after they came around to enjoying each other's company. Maybe we will see more of that in the next book!

Sleep Robin Hood Outlaws: Book Three Written by: M.C. Frank Sleep Robin Hood is a fantastic continuation of the Outlaws series. With action, adventure, romance, suspense, and everything in-between this story hooked me. I can't wait for the next year to pass so I can read the next installation in this retelling. The characters have such passion and feelings that go between hope, despair, and betrayal. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving something away but this series is a well-written depiction of the tale of Robin Hood.
